본문: 베드로후서 (II Peter) 1:5-8  

제목: 나는 성장하고 있는가? (Am I growing?)

1.   하나님은 우리의 능력이나 열심보다는 성품의 변화를 먼저 요구하십니다.  

 (God requires our character changes before our ability and zeal for Him). 

 

 

베드로후서 (II Peter)  1:5

그러므로 여러분은 열성을 다하여 여러분의 믿음에 덕을 더하고, 덕에 지식을 더하고,  For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 

 

히브리서 (Hebrew) 11: 6 

믿음이 없이는 하나님을 기쁘게 해드릴 수 없습니다. 하나님께 나아가는 사람은, 하나님이 계시다는 것과, 하나님은 자기를 찾는 사람들에게 상을 주시는 분이시라는 것을 믿어야 합니다.  And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.  

 

베드로후서 (II Peter)  1:5

그러므로 여러분은 열성을 다하여 여러분의 믿음에 덕을 더하고, 덕에 지식을 더하고,  For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 

 

고린도후서 (I Corinthians) 4:16  

그러므로 우리는 낙심하지 않습니다. 우리의 겉사람은 낡아가나, 우리의 속사람은 날로 새로워집니다.  Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 

 

 

 

 

 

2.    하나님은 당신의 자녀들에게 인내를 요구하십니다. 

  (God requires patience to His children).    

 

 

베드로후서 (II Peter) 1:6

지식에 절제를 더하고, 절제에 인내를 더하고, 인내에 경건을 더하고,  and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 

 

욥기 (Job) 38:4 

내가 땅의 기초를 놓을 때에, 네가 거기에 있기라도 하였느냐? 네가 그처럼 많이 알면, 내 물음에 대답해 보아라.  "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand.  

 

하박국 (Habakkuk) 2:4 

마음이 한껏 부푼 교만한 자를 보아라. 그는 정직하지 못하다. 그러나 의인은 믿음으로 산다.  "See, he is puffed up; his desires are not upright-- but the righteous will live by his faith - 

 

 

하박국 (Habakkuk) 3:17-18  

무화과나무에 과일이 없고 포도나무에 열매가 없을지라도, 올리브 나무에서 딸 것이 없고 밭에서 거두어들일 것이 없을지라도, 우리에 양이 없고 외양간에 소가 없을지라도, 나는 주님 안에서 즐거워하련다. 나를 구원하신 하나님 안에서 기뻐하련다.  Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 

 

 

 

 

3.   하나님은 당신의 자녀들이 성화의 과정을 거쳐 비로서 하나님과 이웃을 사랑할 수 있도록 이끄십니다.  

  (God leads His children to love God and His people through process of sanctification).  

 

 

베드로후서 (II Peter)  1:7

경건에 신도간의 우애를 더하고, 신도간의 우애에 사랑을 더하도록 하십시오.  and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.  

 

미가서 (Micah) 6: 6-8 

내가 주님 앞에 나아갈 때에, 높으신 하나님께 예배드릴 때에, 무엇을 가지고 가야 합니까? 번제물로 바칠 일 년 된 송아지를 가지고 가면 됩니까? 수천 마리의 양이나, 수만의 강 줄기를 채울 올리브 기름을 드리면, 주님께서 기뻐하시겠습니까? 내 허물을 벗겨 주시기를 빌면서, 내 맏아들이라도 주님께 바쳐야 합니까? 내가 지은 죄를 용서하여 주시기를 빌면서, 이 몸의 열매를 주님께 바쳐야 합니까? 너 사람아, 무엇이 착한 일인지를 주님께서 이미 말씀하셨다. 주님께서 너에게 요구하시는 것이 무엇인지도 이미 말씀하셨다. 오로지 공의를 실천하며 인자를 사랑하며 겸손히 네 하나님과 함께 행하는 것이 아니냐! With what shall I come before the LORD and bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?  He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
